Coordination and Adaptation Techniques: Bridging the Gap Between Design and Implementation

چکیده
In this paper we present our work on the construction of composite services for distributed computing environments. In this work we take our theoretical results in formal techniques for exogenous coordination of software components and we apply these techniques to existing practical approaches to distributed systems in the area of service-oriented computing. We address major issues such as (a) the implications of synchrony on the way one designs software, (b) the bridging of protocols with fundamentally different coordination models, and (c) the enriching of theoretically sound models so that they become usable in practical applications. In this paper we report our progress on each of these issues and we discuss the work that still lies ahead of us.

Software project management is one of the significant activates in the software development process. Software Development Effort Estimation (SDEE) is a challenging task in the software project management. SDEE is an old activity in computer industry from 1940s and has been reviewed several times. A SDEE model is appropriate if it provides the accuracy and confidence simultaneously before softwa...

Background. The gap between what is theoretically taught and what is practically experienced has always been a remarkable issue in nursing. The present study was an attempt to explore the amount of coordination between learning activities and clinical nursing services. A comparison was made between them through comparing the means of ratings by nursing students, teaching staff and nursing emplo...

متن کاملBridging the Gap Between Research and Policy and Practice; Comment on “CIHR Health System Impact Fellows: Reflections on ‘Driving Change’ Within the Health System”
Far too often, there is a gap between research and policy and practice. Too much research is undertaken with little relevance to real life problems or its reported in ways that are obscure and impenetrable. At the same time, many policies are developed and implemented but are untouched by, or even contrary to evidence. An accompanying paper describes an innovative progr...
متن کاملAutomatic Generation of Executable Code from Software Architecture Models
Our effort is focused on bridging the gap between software design and implementation of component-based systems using software architectures at the modeling/design level and the coordination paradigm at the implementation level. We base our work on the clear support of both software architectures and event-driven coordination models for Component Based Software Engineering and the similarities ...
